  • What is so special about your style of instruction?

Every student is unique in their experience and training as well as their role in the criminal justice system and agency they work for.   The instructors are not just "lecturers" who will stand in front of the room and put you to sleep!  They understand YOUR needs to do a job... and do it well!

Each class is driven by simple objectives... to impart knowledge, skills and ability to each and every student.  To do that means that every attendee is given the opportunity to demonstrate their comprehension and skill development throughout the class... not just at "test time".   Your job is test enough.  NCIT is here to help you prepare... or perhaps just "tune up"  for the real world which is getting more and more difficult with every court decision.

    Where do I start?

Our classes are presented throughout the United States to law enforcement personnel at the city, county, state and national level.  If you have an interest in attending one of the classes, see our course schedules and simply complete the "Pre-enrollment form" for the class you are interested in and it will be e-mailed to us.

I have no prior training in investigations other than the academy... do I qualify for the classes?

The primary qualification for attendance is "interest"!  Experience levels for students range from recent academy graduates to the seasoned investigator with many years and numerous homicide investigations.  Because of the style of instruction, all levels benefit.

Which class should I take first... I have many years of experience and have taken lots of classes?

Because of the intense style of instruction, we recommend that you start with Crime Scene Investigation and Reconstruction before taking any of the other classes.

I have taken a "basic" and an "advanced" investigation class from other very credible providers... can't I just "jump right in with the advanced reconstruction class?

There have been some who have taken one or more of the classes relying on other trainers to prepare them.  Most have returned to "pick up" the class(es) that they have skipped!

How do I get you to come to our city?

If you would like to sponsor a course in your city we can make the necessary arrangement to do so.  Most agencies are interested in re-imbursement from their POST authority.  Courses sponsored withIn California have already been approved by POST so the process for NCIT to set-up a course has fewer time constraints.  However, in other states, POST approval may take up to 60 days.... so plan ahead!
