 Cathy has worked for the Bakersfield Police Department in
California for 34 years, 31 of which has been in the Crime Scene Unit. She has worked hundreds of crime scenes; including burglaries, sexual assaults, homicides and officer- involved shootings.
For the past nine years Cathy has supervised the unit working to improve its abilities by obtaining the necessary training and equipment for unit
personnel and working with her supervisors to insure that the unit has all that is necessary to get the job done.
Cathy is also a member of the International Association for Identification and the California Division of the IAI. She has served on the Board of Directors for the CSDIAI and actively participated as the Speaker
Chairperson for the 2003, 2006 and 2010 seminars.
Cathy obtained her Cerificate as a Latent Print Examiner in 1998 and joined National Crime Investigation and Training as an instructor in 2009.
