Tom has been a forensic scientist since 1985 working with the California Department of Justice until 2014 when he retired as Assistant Lab Director of the Chico California Laboratory.  Je developed his skills in major scene investigation and in inter-jurisdictional investiigations in the over 28 years of service he provided to the State of California. He continues to work as instructor for NCIT providing his knowledge to agencies throughout the Western States.

He has been an instructor in crime scene investigation for over 15 years and been with NCIT for over 8 years.
